The Q1W DIM LED lamp is THE solution in the indoor growing sector and certainly the flagship of some of our mini-grow boxes. It boasts a broad and continuous light spectrum, a 5-stage dimming function, and with its cutting-edge 50W LED technology, it’s perfectly equipped for your grow. While a power consumption of 50W might seem low, when compared to conventional alternatives of, for instance, 300W, the Q1W outshines these alternatives with its utmost efficiency.

With its power supply adjustable in five stages, the Q1W DIM LED lamp now offers the ability to set the light intensity at 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, or 100%. This allows growers to precisely adjust the light intensity based on the growth phase of the plants. Besides optimizing energy consumption, this feature ensures plants are provided with the ideal amount of light. The option to dim the lamp as needed reduces power usage and simultaneously extends the lifespan of the LED by minimizing heat stress. Overall, this dimmability makes the Q1W DIM an efficient tool for indoor growing.

Was bedeutet denn eigentlich “Full-Spectrum”? Wer sich mit Indoor-Growing befasst, der wird schnell auf die Empfehlung oder die Vorgabe stoßen, das Lichtmedium – je nach Wachstumsphase der Pflanze – wechseln zu müssen. Sprich, erreicht eure Pflanze bspw. die Blütephase, solltet ihr ein anderes Leuchtmedium verwenden, als in der Keimphase. Dieses Hin- und Herwechseln hat dank einer modernen Full-Spectrum-Lampe endlich ein Ende. This allows the Q1W to illuminate your plant continuously from germination to harvest.

The whole thing is also extremely economical: The Q1W from SANlight brings excellent efficiency. At 50W power, it is as strong as conventional ~300W bulbs, yet consumes only a fraction of the electricity compared to outdated incandescent bulbs. Electricity costs are about 10€/month for the SANlight at 18h light/day – depending on the tariff of course. This does not usually lead to an upgrade with your electricity provider and therefore does not involve a major change.

The lamp also has passive cooling with large cooling fins. It does not require any active cooling (fan) and is thus cooled without noise. In general, the cooling increases the reliability and longevity, which is remarkable: The Q1W from SANlight still has 90% light output after 100,000 hours of operation!

How can you measure the effectiveness “quality” of an LED lamp?

The quality of an LED lamp can be measured with the PAR value. Light consists of photons, whereby these photons can oscillate in different wavelengths. The wavelengths that provide for photosynthesis are referred to as PAR (photosynthetically active radiation). The PAR value thus describes the flux of photosynthetic photons and is measured in μmol. The higher the PAR value – the better the quality / efficiency of the lamp.
