Do I Need 200 Watts for a Grow Cabinet?

Many competitors offer tents or cabinets measuring approximately 100x100x200 cm with 250 or 300 watts. Growers often assume that more watts automatically lead to higher yields. However, this is definitely not the case. Typically, 250/300 watt LED lamps in tents can be a waste of money, resulting in high electricity costs. Comparable yields can be achieved with quality LEDs (SANlight® / Bonsanto® LEDs) using only 100 watts. This can save you up to €500 in electricity costs annually while maintaining similar yields.
